Pocket Patches
The Army and all military branches are full of heraldry. In Vietnam the wear of the pocket patch took on an art form. All the units seemed to have had them and with guys doing multiple tours you'll see them wearing the current unit and past unit pocket patches on their two piece Nomex or the jungle fatigues. They were produced locally at all the cities outside the wire and were either Machine Embroidered or Hand Embroidered.
